![]() ![]() ![]() We didn't upgrade our entrance/dinner package and that was just fine. It's worth seeing once but beware. There are up-charges for EVERYTHING. But, alas, my friends really wanted to go. Until last night I'd successfully avoided this show for 20+ years. They charge premium rates for sub-par service. And they will nickel-and-dime you – even if you get the highest end package. So in summary: Great show, amazing horses, poor service and delivery. It is funny that they had several people trying to sell us overpriced glow sticks, light up swords, hats, etc – but no bartender in sight. He offered beverages, but at this point it was towards the end of the show, so we declined the offer. 10 min later, a manager (Charlie?) showed up. We told her about the lack of bartender service. A supervisor (?) made her way around to all asking if we were having a great time. After 45+ minutes we realized this was not going to happen. We had asked our server, twice, if she could ask the bar-server to stop by as we’d like to order another round. Soup was like red water with some tomato drops. If you have kids, bring them, they will love it! Food was mediocre. All the kids in the arena loved it, and they energized the crowd for sure. Kudos to the trainers and their beautiful horses. Show started, and they put on a great performance. We still had beers from the bar, so for now we were good. Beverage services were offered, and a separate bartender also asked if we needed anything from the bar. Once in our assigned seats, a staff member asked if we would want to move to accommodate someone else, we politely declined as we were perfectly situated at the end of our table. Upon entering the arena, it seemed like a rushed crowd trying to get to their best seats. Good service and good local beer selection. Not sure why this wasn't offered to us? We grabbed a drink at the bar. We did notice that the non-VIP section that were doing photos had the Falconer on their side with their photographer. Really? I just paid $80+ for a ticket for the highest level VIP package, and now you want $2 more? Nope. Walked by the "dungeon" but was told it was $2 /person to enter. Then souvenir shops with most of the stuff made in China. No question if this was special celebration (which it was). Upon arrival we were greeted, given a table card number, and hustled into an area for a photo. She didn't seem to know if we arrived early would guarantee us better seats. I even called, and the agent didn't really know what seats we would get, and only stated that we would get 1st or 2nd row seating, somewhere. Not a lot of info about how the "VIP seating" worked. Pre arrival: Bought the Queens package at a price of $81.66 /person. For the amount we paid I think we should get a reply. Three phone calls and two emails later and no response. I emailed twice over a period of a month. She gave me the email of the Dining manager in Scottsdale. The customer service agent said all locations are required to serve the same vegetarian meal. I called main number the next day and was told that it was not. We didn't know if what we had was a different version of the vegetarian meal. ![]() We did not get the fruit for dessert but were served vanilla ice cream. Instead we got standard appetizers (soup and garlic toast with butter). We did not get the hummus and raw veggies or the fruit described by the agent and shown in all the Medieval Times literature. Most of the meal was not as described by the agent we spoke to in advance (800 number). I paid nearly $500 and called customer service to preorder vegetarian meal for three of us. We were five adults, four family members and a friend, that visited a couple weeks after the Medieval Times in Scottsdale opened. ![]()
